Professor Richard Fox

Professor Richard FoxA University of Sydney graduate, Professor Fox was Deputy Director of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital from 1977 to 1984. He was then Director of the Department of Clinical Haematology and Medical Oncology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital from 1985 to 2006. His main clinical interests have been clinical trials in cancer therapy. In 2007 he was appointed Director of Research at St Vincents Hospital in Melbourne. Professor Fox is Chair of the Board of Directors of the Cooperative Research Centre for Cancer Therapeutics and  in 2010 was elected President of the Cancer Council of Victoria. He is a past President of the Clinical Oncology Society of Australia and the Australian Cancer Society (now Cancer Council Australia).
