Bequests
After providing for your family, a bequest to the Microsurgery Foundation is a special way of improving the health of future generations and can be a memorial to your concern for others. We offer this suggested wording for your will:
I bequeath, free of all duties the sum of $_______ (or, part or all of residue of estate) to the Microsurgery Foundation, to be applied for the purposes of the Foundation (or as directed by the donor).
Memorial Donation
When someone close to us dies, we appreciate all the memories we have of that special person. A Memorial Donation to the Microsurgery Foundation is a thoughtful way to remember someone, and at the same time help give life to those who remain.
- Letter Expressing Condolences and Appreciation: The next of kin/nearest family member of the person who has died is sent a letter expressing condolences and special thanks to the names of all those who kindly make memorial donations (the dollar amount is not mentioned).
- Receipts for All: Everyone who makes a memorial donation is sent a letter of thanks and receipt, which can be used for tax purposes, if required.
- Special Envelope: Most Funeral Directors have a collection facility, for where memorial donations are requested by the family at a funeral.
